JFC... Sorry the billionaires decided we're not going to address climate change so they can get more rich. They'll have proper air conditioning too, you'll have to get used to it. Have you tried having a sauna?

Pretty sure installing a sauna is more expensive than installing air conditioning.

Not if you lower your expectations!

I'll add that the parents of an ex of mine. Would setup a "sweat lodge" in their yard yearly with the help of their other crunchy friends. Was essentially a teepee with a pit of hot rocks in the middle. They'd all sit naked in there and chant stuff. The structure wasn't difficult to construct.

They offered for me to join. But I was like 17 and seeing my girlfriend's father's cock and balls was not high on my list.

What a weird chant.

I bought a steam tent years ago, it truly does help with the summers. Mine is "full sized" so I don't have to stick my head out of it.

But you'll find sauna much faster than AC currently. I wonder why ?

[-] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

I just have to go outside.

Free standing sauna vs window AC, yes easily.

Free standing sauna vs central air, the sauna wins.

Bought our sauna from Costco for $400 in 2020, so I am sure prices have skyrocketed.

Cold rinsing after a hot shower has the same effect for cheap.
