A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
RULES:
- Your post must be a screen capture of a microblog-type post that includes the UI of the site it came from, preferably also including the avatar and username of the original poster. Including relevant comments made to the original post is encouraged.
- Your post, included comments, or your title/comment should include some kind of commentary or remark on the subject of the screen capture. Your title must include at least one word relevant to your post.
- You are encouraged to provide a link back to the source of your screen capture in the body of your post.
- Current politics and news are allowed, but discouraged. There MUST be some kind of human commentary/reaction included (either by the original poster or you). Just news articles or headlines will be deleted.
- Doctored posts/images and AI are allowed, but discouraged. You MUST indicate this in your post (even if you didn't originally know). If an image is found to be fabricated or edited in any way and it is not properly labeled, it will be deleted.
- Absolutely no NSFL content.
- Be nice. Don't take anything personally. Take political debates to the appropriate communities. Take personal disagreements & arguments to private messages.
- No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.

Of course, that goes without saying.
Were aren't going to find out for sure, because its not like we have a time machine or anything, but I'd be curious to know if women are happier now than when they were expected to just be housewives.
I mean in general, the ones with abusive husbands and absolutely no recourse obviously shit was fucked.
What I enjoy about being a woman is 2026 is I am free to come & go as I please, have my own bank accounts & credit cards, responsible & accountable for my own self & my own money & I don't have to answer to anyone,
but it sucks that I don't have any other option.
I can't just sit at home and have someone take care of me for the rest of my life. Because deep deep down, no matter what gender you are, you gotta admit, wouldn't it be nice to have someone take care of you while all you have to do is sit around being sexy all day? ๐
I agree except the sit around being sexy, I would want to just sit around and be my ugly ass. Being sexy takes work.
Now they have a choice? It makes a pretty big difference.
In general they kinda dont. Being a housewife to a fairly rich man is an option, but there aren't enough to go around. Live in poverty or both partners work at least one job for most people.
