Ford sending white-collar workers to run forklifts. Employees have to tell family they were traveling on business. "You're sworn to secrecy."

Makes sense. Ford is negotiating with the union and doesn't want to show its hand.

Plus, getting more familiar with the manufacturing side of the business could actually be a good exercise for the engineers.

It's actually really cool in a way. Every organization should send at least their Supply Management employees into the field so they can see their impact.
