I did the exact same thing tbh, in fact this pattern calls for darker fabric and some bits are meant to be stitched white, but Past Me only had this white aida so I had to sub out the white stitches for ecru to make them show up. Still, at least white goes with everything!

Still have a load of the stuff lying around, although last year I "invested" in my first ever grab bag of fancy evenweaves and linens for a video, so need to actually start using those up too!

Actually you know, that fabric haul might make for a good post of its own. Let's see if I think on and take some photos next time I'm near it 😅
