I've been working on several things to speed up both the database and the UI, and all of them combined now offer a substantially faster experience than before, especially on slow internet connections.

The details:

For the database, I improved the indexes throughout the entire database to better cover the kinds of queries Port87 uses. The previous indexes the database used didn't fully cover certain queries, entering a bare search term in the search bar usually resulted in a "full index scan", which is slow. Now, the indexes can fully cover most queries, so searching and browsing in Port87 is way faster.

For the UI, Port87 now only makes one data request to the backend for most navigation events, and that usually happens over the websocket connection, which is much faster than HTTP. Before, Port87 would make an HTTP request to get the data to render the new page, then make a request to subscribe to changes for that data. The request to subscribe returned the full set of data anyway, so now Port87 will leverage that response to skip the first (slower) HTTP request.

I use my inbox as a kind of to-do list, so it's relatively empty, usually.

Is there a way to archive emails so they don't show up in the aggregate inbox or in the sub-emails? Ideally, I'd like there to be an easy switch/button to make archived emails visible.
