"what if my CEO god-king decides not to follow my plan" is a thesis even the worst startup founders have muddled through and I find it repeatedly funny as fuck that this mediocre monster of a man is hitting it

maybe it's indicative of other things? maybe he believed so hard in the plan that he misjudged felon's ability? maybe felon just conned him easily? extremely possible on multiple fronts, and still just as funny

imagine how fucking frustrated the little shitgoblin must be. it makes my angry heart flutter!

nah, not yet, imo. reasons: you overestimate how much & how many people care, and the complexities of doing such blocks well

I run the hosting of some small (by global standards) media setups and I've floated crawler defense there and had fairly little bite so far despite the issues the crawlers have caused. engagement brain is still extremely fucking prevalent

using it to source data in the meantime. I can tell you with absolute certainty that openai lies about its sourcing

I know that name. loom is just a video and screen recorder with unnecessary social networking

same. I was like "hold on, don't I know this name?", did a quick search and got to "oh right it's twitch clips enterprise edition" and then

and AI feature

"....but the fuck is AI-based loop clips?"

seriously, they have "AI-based" on their frontpage

wow, thanks for that wonderfully personal and thought out contribution

what the fuck makes you think "let me, unasked, go pop some shit into a prompt, and then unload its response on someone who didn't ask for it" is at all something that's okay to do?

fucking moronic dickheads

honestly, samesies

I'm kinda taken aback at how many people are popping in saying they have such things. at almost all usage times I can barely see my bloody wallpaper, too much else going on/present

In [1]: for i in range(1, 5): print(f"{i*1000} days: {i*1000/365} years")
1000 days: 2.73972602739726 years
2000 days: 5.47945205479452 years
3000 days: 8.219178082191782 years
4000 days: 10.95890410958904 years

how many is a "few", 'ole sammy mah boi

and can you definitely find a way to set 6b+/year on fire (with growth for salaries and costs) for that long?

truly, the sfba business model is one of the most remarkable of the last 2 decades

If you want decentralized systems you have to take the good with the bad. It’s part of the game

I wonder if these people are at all familiar with the stages of grief

new idea: get the morewrongers to work themselves up about "ontologically, is 'superhuman prediction' the same class as superintelligence?"

why? oh, y'know, just things:

those fucking asks, though

We therefore call upon advanced AI companies to commit to these principles:

That the company will not enter into or enforce any agreement that prohibits “disparagement” or criticism

subtooting the real openai, will the real openai please stand up

"pls mr openai will you not kill all my shares pls I believed so hard?"

That the company will facilitate a verifiably anonymous process for current and former employees to raise risk-related

"I believe I was unfairly edged out because of my beliefs and I want to speak to the manager"

That the company will support a culture of open criticism

oh yeah that sounds kinda good

and allow its current and former employees to raise risk-related concerns about its technologies to the public,

oh.

That the company will not retaliate against current and former employees who publicly share risk-related confidential information after other processes have failed.

"rlyrlypls mropenai, plsnotakeshaare. I believed so hard 🥹🥹🥹🥹"

Yeah.

I had parents that did this shit (and more). Emphasis on “had”: I walked the fuck away from the whole goddamn lot.

Does my fucking head in to see this kind of shit not only being given airtime but done so without criticism in the coverage.

this backlash is against arguably the best voice they have at their disposal

......lol

lolololololololol

"the best voice they have at their disposal"

the hyper-grainy artefact-present voice that is ACTUALLY FUCKING WORSE than a number of current offerings. "the best".
