I have the "emotional" section here in my head today.

Later dillinger isn't 100% all cylinders constantly like earlier dillinger, and I really enjoy the dynamics it has, like that gentler passage.

what made you not listen to them "well" the first time around? I got into them after hearing Milk Lizard in saints row, or after checking out their work with mike patton. Calculating infinity felt just too constant and screamy, the album they did with patton had a bit more dynamic and varied.

Or did you check out the later stuff and think it wasn't playing at 10 enough? I'm not asking to be mean, to see if I can help guide you in specific albums/order that might be more to your liking.

Saw them open for AFI in the mid-00s! I was there for Dillinger, and my friend was there for AFI. I hadn’t heard much AFI, but when Dillinger came out, the floor was the emptiest I’ve seen it at a medium-sized show. I was raging out with maybe ten other people, and the rest of the crowd did not seem to enjoy the music at all. Understandable—a strange pick to open for AFI.
