They're just there to get you off the ledge and back into the stuff that got put you on the ledge.

Unless you're loaded with unlimited billable hours, then honey, lets get you some catharsis! What does fulfillment look like to you?

because "therapists will only provide therapy for as long as they receive money for it" is a weird take to thrust upon people who still need money to eat food to survive

I do various things and all of them I also do free to help my friends or people in need.

I met my therapist as a stranger, he is no friend or family of mine. Same as my doctor

And many therapist will lower their rate and otherwise find ways to support clients as much as possible

i think it's great that some therapists are willing to go to those lengths to support those people that need it

but expecting this from them is unfortunately unreasonable
