Sorry I always get spurts of creativity when I drink my wacky juice

Flat-colour digital art depicting a very muscular Crooler the evil princess of the crocodile tribe and a curvy Windra the mechanic of the wolf tribe, both from Lego's Legends of Chima, standing proudly back to back, glaring at each other. There is a tiny sketch in the white space between them, showing the two French-kissing.

FA server settings might just be set super-paranoid due to recent uptick in DDOSs and AI scraping.

"Super-paranoid" as in "blocks basic encryption services like NordVPN and Cloudflare WARP because can't tell diff between actual DDOS and many people using same IP cuz that's kinda what a VPN is"

Understandable paranoia, I suppose, but not acceptable. And incredibly ironic for their serverside Cloudflare config to... block another basic Cloudflare service???

Also, if you'd STILL like more fun sci fi lore, have a gander at a little something myself and @drmoocow.bsky.social wrote. We dreamed up a clinical procedure for turning meat brains into synthetic brains! ~Strype [https://bsky.app/profile/strype.bsky.social/post/3mhjpsh2lb22d]

Photograph of a realistic Anthro blue dragon suit with elaborate leathery scale patterns and textures

Boy howdy, Static Creature aka Zarathus might be a Maker of interest to you 🐲

EDIT: There was another dragon iirc whose suit was totally Metal 🤘 -- literally, painstakingly stitched one metal scale at a time just like ye olde chainmail

First thought: If not Furry, why Furry-shaped? :P

Second thought: "harmoniously combining anthropomorphic and bestial traits" -- yeah definitely describing Furries lol

Third thought: This text reads like normal world-building for a post-hunter-gatherer Furry society

Congrats Volkolaks -- based on this evidence, you are granted an Honorary Furry License 🐺💳🤝

Recommend you change the title of this post to replace "political art" to explicitly state "anticapitalist/socialist art". You're sure to get more enthusiasm that way, fellow comrade 🤝💖

And idk if they're open for comms at the moment, but the first artist that comes to mind is HearthFox (has recently done "don't kinkshame" art in goofy rubberhose/Looney Tunes style)

Other artists that come to mind that do Lefty and/or punk-rock themes: DeoTasDevil, Strype, Denucard -- they don't have "toony" styles, but they probably know someone who does

Getting grossed out by her eggs? That Proto is the real chicken here

Seriously though, why does no one ever graffiti a labia? Sounds like classic sexism to me, smh

Very good analysis of Furry from the outside, nicely done 👍 Some thoughts I had as I watched it:

  • Most of the pearl-clutching about Furries seems to come from Puritan countries, esp. USA & UK. Other countries? Quite the opposite. Examples off the top of my head:

  • Notions of "children"'s mascots almost never occur to any of us Furs, except for the obvious Rule 34 moments. It more feels like, without consciously thinking about it, my childhood interests grew up with me. Does nostalgia play a role? Perhaps some unstated rebellion against squeaky-clean Puritan and Corpo media?

  • Xenophilia & neophilia are probably the strongest drivers, conscious or not. Every day in this fandom, someone comes up with something both strange and wonderful.

  • Accordingly, Furry art is a wondrous baptism-by-fire of Queer acceptance (also conscious or not), especially regarding body-positivity. As one gets used to seeing an 8-foot fox with 3 pairs of watermelon-size breasts & multiple tentacle dicks, the discomfort of trans and intersex bodies falls away. (I admit to my shame that transmen once made me uncomfortable; Furry art slowly slapped me out of it.)

  • It's both flattering and amusing to have "deeper meaning" / "deep sense of self" ascribed to our silly cartoon animals. Most days it feels like Furry simply is, no hidden depths needed. Is all art like this?   "Just shat out this portrait of some lady over the weekend, it's whatever" ~Leonardo da Vinci, probably

Agreed. Interpersonal relationships are stronger bonds then us tech dudes (myself included) tend to appreciate.

People are still on Facebook despite all their unacceptable actions over the years, because the alternative is to completely uproot your whole social circle (everyone all at once, good luck with that) or seriously risk cutting off people you care about.

Almost the same applies to Furs still on Telegram, though afaik TG hasn't ever done anything remotely as bad as Zuck, Elon or Spez

EDIT: sidestepping the uprooting part is what's fantastic about the Fediverse btw; compat and futureproofing between diff websites being a must-have from the start, and that's awesome <3
