I was like "A replica of the plane does sound insensitive, but you can see planes anywhere, so why so bad". Then I saw the picture.
It's a replica of the crashed plane pile driven into the ground, what the fuck!

You're supposed to memorialize the people who died inside the plane, not the fucking plane itself. In memory of Avro RJ85 - a modest jet who wanted so much more.
I don't think they managed to get a single thing right with this. It is in very poor taste, it looks like it memorialises the plane rather than the victims of the crash, it isn't even the right colour scheme for the plane, and it looks like a bunch of drunk art students threw it together over the course of a drinking session.
