My son moved into his new room last week and I'd like to be able to turn the network off to his devices in the evening. However I went into my orbi dashboard and found it requires me to use a paid 3rd party app called circle to manage parental controls. I do not want to pay a monthly fee for something that should be included so I'd rather just replace the routers.

What mesh routers allow me to have two Networks and set on and off times on the guest network?

Does the son have a mobile phone? Turning off wifi access to the router won't stop them from using mobile data

This looks useful, I have the old RBS10 which isn't compatible. Would you upgrade to RBR50 Orbi's or get a different system?

I would look into routers that are compatible with tomato tomato. Asus comes to mind. If you stick with Orbis, RB50s are inexpensive to start with. I use Rbr50 with 3 satellites and they are great although I don’t use voxel. Tonato firmware is much simpler imo. How big is your house? You may not need a mesh
