This. I smoked cigs for such a long time, now on vape. It's 100% better. You feel better, your teeth are better, list goes on. Sure it's not the best, we all should quit smoking. But it's better than nasty ass cigs that stay on your clothes, car, makes your teeth yellow and the list goes on.
There is nothing better than a cig, a glass of whiskey, in a hot tub naked on a cold day. But I don't want that everyday.

I'm 45+ and French. This seems very misleading as smoking has been declining a lot the past couple decades.
Did it actually? I remember going to france like twice a year like 30 years ago. And my observation was just: everyone smokes.
When the indoor smoking ban started, i felt like people stopped. Same as over here. But now i feel like at least as many people atarted smoking again. But i haven't really been in france again in the last 10 years.
Between 2000 and 2019 the number of cigarettes sold in France has halved.

reject modernity, embrace tradition
In my anecdotal experience, French people vape a shitload.
I had French coworkers who vaped nonstop in the Paris office. You could hear the click of the heating element every few minutes. I've also seen old French ladies ripping from huge tricked out vapes.
The idea of elegant old French women doing sick vape tricks is just...really something.
