i think sovcits dont like lawyers. not sure but a bit sure. also why did he get a black hole in his head in the second panel

Even with a hole in his head, Ev' keeps kicking!

But really, I'm thinking it's a drop of ink that fell on the page, and he just didn't want to draw it all over again. No Undo button in the early 1900s. Which I think is kind of hilarious on its own.

Back in the day we used Liquid Paper. But TIL correction fluid wasn't invented until 1956.
