I don't know if this is the right community to post this, but whatever.

I've been using Spotify for a while, it's a reduced price in my country and so far the experience is good, but podcasts are not available in my country.

I'm in a free trial for Youtube Premium, and the experience for watching Youtube is so much better, and there are a few things that I like from Youtube Music, like the smart downloads, but the audio quality is trash. I though there was something wrong with my earbuds, but no, music sounds good everywhere except on the YT music app. Hard bass and drum kicks are often distorted and I had to enable the equalizer, and I love music with a lot of bass and kicks.

As an App the experience is good, but god damn it is a downgrade in audio quality. What you think? Might it be worth it?

I found I'm using YouTube daily anyway, and YT Music during commute, so this was a no-brainer for me.

I used to have Spotify and loved it, but I switched to YouTube Music after it came out because of the free YouTube Premium add on. I didn't feel the drop off in quality between the two and no ads on YouTube with the ability to turn my phone off if I want to keep listening to whatever I was watching is amazing. There's a lot of good DJ and remix content on YouTube.

I'm so spoiled by the no ads that I don't think I could go back.

If you decide to continue using Youtube Music, why don't you install an ad-free, open-source client like vimusic or innertune.

And it's not perfect but try Spottube. Free premium.

I pay for my whole family to remove ads from yt and yt music. it works out to like $4 a person.
