Alright. So I recently swapped my junky spectrum router to a Asus rt-ax82u since my pc has a Asus axe-58bt wifi card. For reference I was getting around 30mbps on spectrum.

So I've installed the router, updated firmware, adjusted channels, ect. On 5ghz I'm getting 22mbps max on my pc while all other devices I have are easily hitting 300+mbps from the same spot as my wifi antennas (both router and wifi card antennas are facing each other from 1 room away). 5ghz signal strength shows max connection on pc.

List of stuff I've tried: -checked task manager to see if anything was using network, nope. -Cmd prompt IP refresh steps -All dumb Asus features disabled and even tried enabled like optimizations, no difference -powershell disable rcs -full reinstall of pci wifi card drivers

  • reboot of modem, pc, and router multiple times -windows network troubleshooter -device manager network adapter optimizations -ect.

Wtf can I even do at this point I'm pretty frustrated but might be missing something simple. Again, it's only my pc that's wifi 6 enabled, max signal strength, but running sub 10% speeds of all other devices in the same room.

Probably issue is with your WIFI card, get a usb WIFI adapter and test on the PC and see if you are getting better speed.

Also how is the speed from the LAN port of the PC?

Thanks
