When posting images and links, consider whether they're relevant to other communities too. If so, post here and then crosspost to them that way we can include the aussies who aren't subscribed to this comm yet.

• Try to have discussions rather than arguments. If someone's reply is a low-effort talking point, consider politely linking them to a pre-existing answer such as an article, book or video. This gives readers a means to answer their own further questions, and avoids spending time feeding any insincere trolls. Abusive posts will not be tolerated, there are other Lemmy sites for 'dirtbag left' behaviour. This includes replying offensively to trolls: please downvote them and report for a moderator or site admin to remove.

• Non-socialist replies are welcome if they are respectful, meaningful and promote dialectic (simple claims and platitudes like "socialism doesn't work" are not meaningful).
