I've recently moved over to piefed, and have been looking for a new iOS app that supports it.

Firstly, the Mlem app looks amazing and works brilliantly. Well done to all involved getting it to this point.

There are 2 features that I can't seem to replicate in the app, that I can do directly on the piefed.social website, that I really find useful and would love to see. I'm not sure if I just haven't found how to do these yet, or if these are more feature requests.

First is the ability to see the number of existing crossposts in the post feed. It provides a great way to be able to see how active the topic is across the fediverse, without needing to go into the post. A bonus feature would be to click on the crossposts icon to see which communities the post is crossposted to. I know this can be done from within the post on Mlem, but having it on the feed would be really useful.

Second is the 'Notify about replies' feature, where you can click on the bell icon and get notifications for replies to any post or comment (not just your own). Its really useful on smaller communities where comments happen slowly in fewer posts.

Saved posts missing (lemmy.world)

Did the ability to see saved posts get removed?

One of the more frustrating things to me with Lemmy is seeing the same post like seven times. I was thinking maybe there should be an option to long press the crossposts drop-down to get a context menu with the option to mark them all as read. This way they could all be hidden from the feed.

Swipe zones (lemmy.ca)
submitted 2 weeks ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I have a case on my phone. I have upvoted and/or downvoted by accident because the swipe right zone for going back is too small. Is there anyway to set this to be bigger?

Also, there is a persistent across versions edge case scenario where sometimes it will try to do something when swiping and freak out

I’m on Mlem 2.2 and iOS 18.6.2. If I set haptics to “none” it works until I restart the app or the phone, then it sets itself back to high.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Curious on if other people even like this, but personally I’d like to throw out an idea for a new two column layout similar to Narwhal.

Curious if other people like this, or if it could be added as an option.

So lately it’s gotten to where trying to load my “Subscribed” feed on Midwest.social results in an error with nothing loading, so I was curious if there is any way to tell if the issue is client or server side? I subscribe to about 70 communities, roughly half of which are local and the remaining being federated. I did go through each one individually the other day and they all loaded, so was thinking it could also be the sheer volume of feeds trying to load.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions, and keep up the great work on the app!

I registered new accounts (trying to future proof in the wake of lemm.ee closing), and wheel i try to log into them via Mlem I am unable. It simply says something went wrong. However I can log into the instances via web interface without issue.

I am using Bitwarden to fill my passwords, so it is not me getting a password incorrect. All passwords are multiple word/number pass phrases, so quite long.
