Could it? Possibly. Would it? Probably not. At least not with big daddi T/ republicans in office. They deny the effects of pollutants in the atmosphere so there is no weather modification taking place (according to them). Considering that trump is taking away tax credits for solar and wind and is increasing leasing and tax credits for oil, gas, and coal industries I don’t think this bill will provide much benefit for the climate
Lil tater tot is lookin cute as hell over there. However, I consider guinea pigs to be part of the “hamster family” so I do not want to get any where near it. Absolutely evil creatures. Never trust a hamster.
I haven’t read the article or comments yet. Just the post title. I am afraid of the amount of brain cells I am about to lose. I’m going in, will update in a moment.
Edit: what the fuck did I just read. A new bill to stop a conspiracy theory? MTG is dumb as a stone and I can’t comprehend how she is still in office
Yeah we have similar prices (US). The tickets were $27 (for my wife and myself) and $7 for a coke. If we get popcorn and snacks its just about $50+, depending on what we get. We get snacks beforehand and just hide them in my wifes purse like most people. I used to love going to the movies for the whole experience. But it just keeps getting more expensive and as of late, no good movies are coming out.
I saw the latest fuckrassic park a couple days ago. It was at best… okay. Not worth what the movie theater charges. But if you wait to stream it then it isn’t terrible. But overall, this franchise has lost its luster
I’m a grad student (aerospace engineering) and I had to pick a class outside of my department from a given list. Just one of the reauirements we have in order to graduate. I picked a course on NDE. The class was tons of fun! But it involved a lot of code. We had 8 labs and all of the labs were code based. I already knew how to write the code for this class (it was basically just do math in python, matlab, C etc.) so most of the class I spent my time just figuring out the math. We each had to pick a partner in the class to do these lab assignments with. I got stuck with a foreign student from china. She was awful. She refused to do any work herself. Every assignment, due to her incompetence, I would take charge and just assign a part of the lab to her and I asked her if she knew how to do what I was asking of her and also asked if she wanted/needed any help with any of it. She always kindly declined and claimed she could do it. Turns out she couldn’t. She would just use chatGPT to do EVERYTHING. And her answers were always wrong. So it turned into me doing my part of the lab then taking her shit AI code and fixing it to complete her part of the lab. The grading for this class was unique. We would write a short lab report, turn it into the professor, and then during lab time had an interactive grading session with the professor. This meant he would read our report and ask us questions on it to gauge our understanding of our work. If he was satisfied with our answers, and our answers to the actual lab assignment were correct, he would give us a good grade. If not, he would give us back the report, tell us to fix it and go over it to prepare for the next time we did the interactive grading (if this sounds like a terrible system to you I can assure you it wasnt. It was actually really nice and very much geared towards learning which I very much appreciated). During these sessions it became clear my lab partner knew and learned nothing. But she was brave enough to have her laptop in front of her and pretend to reference the code that she didn’t write while actually asking chatgpt the question that the professor asked her and then giving that answer to the professor. It was honestly pathetic. The only reason I didn’t report her is because then I would lose access to her husband. Her husband was also in this class and he was the total opposite of her. He did the work himself and, like me, was motivated to learn the material. So when I would get stuck on a lab I would go over it with him and vice versa. Basically, I worked on the labs with her husband while she played the middle man between us. Your story OP reminds me of this. I think AI has some good use cases but too many students abuse it and just want it to do everything for them.
I had to present research at a conference for the first time this year. Felt pretty much exactly the same
There is a family guy episode about something similar. Stewie becomes friends with another kid from a very religious family. The kid has cancer and the parents refuse to get treatment and prefer to pray the cancer away. Crazy that these people actually exist. Though I can’t say that I am surprised…
When people ride my ass while I am doing (at least) the speed limit I just take my foot off the gas to gently slow down until they go around me. If its only one lane then I will go under the speed limit. Im petty too like that

I was about 4-5 yrs old and my parents got a hamster for my brother and me. Being little kids we gave it the creative name of Mr. Hamster. The only actual memory I have of Mr. Hamster is when he stabbed me in the fucking back.
I picked him up one day and he ran up my shirt sleeve and bit me on the arm. I started to bleed and it scared me so I knocked him off of me and ran to my mom crying. In later years my then step-brother got a hamster. Guess what happened? Unprovoked, the fucker bit me and drew blood. I saw the evil in its soul that day. He bit all of us (brothers and parents) many times. We tried to be nice to him to show him that we mean no harm but it didnt matter. He would bite us just to be cruel. Many years later I went to a pet store and saw the hamsters there. I thought I would try my luck again. I spent some time trying to be nice to the hamsters and gently pet them. They bit me. From my experience, all they do is bite and be useless. Avoid hamsters. They are evil. Good riddance Mr. Hamster
