One of the Onn streaming devices from Walmart. Picked one up last month to replace an old Fire Stick, and it's been great. Runs stock (or close enough to it) GoogleTv and it only cost about $40. Downloaded Projectivy Launcher and set it as my default home app, so no more home screen ads. Will probably end up throwing ReVanced on it, too.

And when Google inevitably pisses me off enough, I can unlock the bootloader and try my hand at flashing a custom ROM without any Google Play services.

I've seen people do some pretty cool stuff with LLMs, but any time I've tried using one of the big name ones, I've had the exact same experience of it hallucinating or just straight up ignoring me.

Gemini Pro, however, has been so bad that I'm seriously considering dropping Android after 18 years. Fucker burnt through about a dozen of my image generation allotments because it got stuck in some kind of weird logic loop then tried gaslighting me by telling me it hadn't generated anything.

This just reminded me; my first time playing Pokemon Gold/Silver was on a computer in my school library using a fan translation patch like 6 months before the English release.

Good times.

This has literally been my experience playing around with Gemini since I bought a Pixel 10.

100% still have to keep your seed ratio up. It works out for me, though, because I use it for my home media server, so it's mostly files I'm holding on to anyway.

I've been using a private tracker and no vpn for the last 15 years.
