I suppose adding “US” before “states” would have been a more inclusive language choice, but I was going for conciseness over inclusivity I guess. Using context, I feel that the meaning of my title is still clear.

This article is like reading the headline “Researchers have identified the cause of AIDS” and then you open it up and the body is a bunch of science jargon that basically says HIV.

Look- as a person who does use AI for work, I can say that AI is peak AI theater. It’s useful for a handful of stuff, but the rest is parlor tricks to help the big labs raise more money.
