Somebody watched the Technology Connections video.

I love sacrificing the elders. And making them randomly fight each other to the death.

I've been stuck on the last boss for a while. I'm too greedy with damage dumping on the boss to dodge, so I die like a n00b, but I'm enjoying myself.

Don't. Just murder and disappear them as they arrive.

If her response was anything besides killing everyone that wears the uniform and herself, then it was just objectively wrong.

And the account creation failed for me :(

Boobs, when presented with those options.

But I'm not 14 and this is such a narrow category to describe what I like about women.

But within the classic dichotomy here, definitely boobs. Every time. At least with no context. There's a lot of different perspectives to consider, but this is my answer visually-speaking.

Your English is still better than a lot of native speakers.

Until it settles back down, the fact that it's no longer reliably functional is kinda my point. If they internally work to restore it that's fine, but while ICE is still dropping bodies for fun, it's kinda moot for now.

I still wish what we call conservatives were an entirely extinct species anyway. I don't know what kind of moves would need to happen, but this version of far right simply shouldn't exist. But I'm getting ready for a whole other speech starting, so I'll cut it off there.

While true picking anything is arbitrary, picking something that's reliably constant on this planet is definitely less so than old measurements of the length of some king's arm length or whatever that cannot be intuitive to anyone at all (unless their arm happens to be the same I guess, but that's very inconsistent at best).

Maybe I was too vague, but picking something that can be derived consistently is ordered of magnitude less arbitrary than whatever literally everything in the imperial system is.

As for fahrenheit's original 0° being an "oopsie", clearly the high end is very clearly still not based on boiling. The scale isn't based on something if the number that thing happens at is 212°. Even 200 is just ugly.

The scale should've been redone once that got sorted out, ancient communications standards be damned. Even just forgiving that, it should've been tossed out in favor of a cleaner method immediately. Keeping that filth is just unconscionable.

I haven't really been trying to convince people to switch, but I have been telling people I've switched to metric for at least temperature (so far).

And that's less to conversation about how it's just objectively better than fahrenheit in literally every single way, except familiarity. Which given that any switch in life would have that problem, I see that as a non-issue.

Scales should never be based on arbitrary things, or creatively-decided things. They should have a concrete, absolute, and objective thing they're based on, and keeping it based on a certain number for scales of units is better than 12in to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, etc.

It doesn't necessarily have to be base 10, but given that's what it society uses, that's probably best for us, but any base will do, as long as it's consistent.

This looks like some junk my grandma would've had sitting around.

Those look like the guys from "Chained Together"

Challenge seems bugged. Challenges started about 28ish hours ago at time of posting. Yet only I've received credit for only 3 out of 8 wins so far. (the other 3 are below the portion captured in the screenshot, and I'm not going back and taking another for this)

I mean if it's counting at all I'll finish before the week is over, but I haven't seen it mess up counting before.

So far I've gotten it to work in desktop mode, but booting to the regular gaming mode kills it.

It didn't work by simply installing via git as it does on my desktop computer. I've followed this video guide so far: https://youtu.be/YVPtVB0DWUg

But either my reading comprehension is failing me or I'm missing something because per the description and comments, the method still works as of last month.

But I noticed in the video that he mentions running a second command in the terminal and potentially having to change the Neptune number (the video was made for 65, but the deck is on 611 now) on that second command to reflect the current version number.

But he doesn't have the second command listed on that page he links to (https://monroeworld.com/steamdeck/xbox.html), and it's only partially visible for a moment on the video, so I don't know what that 2nd command does.

I was able to get the controller to pair just fine, navigate big picture mode with it, started a game, and was able to control the game using the big picture interface, however.

The first command does make the icons for the script he mentions (in the video he says to use the debug version, and that is shown) appear, and I do get the work he shows initially (xone module not loaded or something like that) that he says is normal for the process before you paste the second command in the terminal. But I don't know what the second command is to finish the process, and I'm assuming that part is the one that gets it working in gaming mode.

I have no issues with the controller or the dongle on my desktop machine, and it works in desktop mode, so I'm sure they're fine. I'm just missing a step to get it working in gaming mode specifically.
