I'm currently using Pop!_OS, which is a great desktop distro.

I was using MX Linux a lot which is amazing for both times when you need a portable distro with lots of features and when you need something that will still run well on older machines.

I've used Mastodon, I feel that it has the same issue that a lot of fediverse social media platforms have vs the big corporate ones, that nobody that I know is on them haha. Which is annoying, I like the setup a whole lot more since they tend to be more designed around being usable platforms for communication instead of just being a way for algorithms to shove content in your face all day.

Soul Reaver, Castlevania: SOTN and Suikoden 2 are my personal faves.

The Last Argument of Kings by Joe Abercrombie. The final book in what has become one of my favorite fantasy series.

Yep. Its such a great series with such a cool, fleshed out world, its hard to find another scifi series that hits the same way.

It does everything through clever game design, nothing takes you out of the game. No cut scenes or text popping up or freezing everything while dialogue is going on. You're just in that world.

I'm like that with OG Doom. Its half nostalgia and half it just being a fun game to play.

I was thinking Soul Reaver too! I think the problem is that it had a handful of mediocre sequels that made people eventually lose interest in the series. But the original game was one of the best on the PS1. I loved the whole improvised combat mechanic where you have to use anything around you in the environment that could hit the vampires' weakneses.

If you liked Assassin's Apprentice, Robin Hobb wrote a lot of other excellent books set in the same world.

Empire of the Vampire was great if you want something like The Witcher.

In movies and shows they've become popular because its easy to shoot, it doesn't block anything or anyone in the scene or need a specific angle. Regular screens are always facing the opposite direction of the person looking at them in the scene.

I loved that improvised combat mechanic where you had to use whatever was handy in the environment to fight the vampires.

I've been doing "Patrick steps" to work my ankle mobility and knee strength, it seems to be helping. Video
