I actually had mentioned it more in my earlier drafts, but I pulled it entirely when I realized I had rambled on too long going down a rabbit hole of their profiting from gambling and the digital items marketplace, and I wanted to break that out into a separate article.

I've spent a lot of time since then refreshing myself on and doing a deep dive into valves behavior around that topic and their profit model in general, and I'm hoping to have a more focused piece out here soon on my findings. They're case in New York is still ongoing I believe, and they've doubled down on some... less than consumer friendly claims about their loot-box mechanics.

I really appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback on the writing! I'm an senior level developer but still working on my independent journalism chops. I've written white label blogs and docs for various businesses over the years, but that comes with it's own tone and cadence that I've been fighting a bit to break the rabbit of.

I'll be trying to go more in depth with some of the longer pieces as I go on. There are already a few I have in the works that I've been spending a lot more time on deep diving into things, so they will be more verbose to say the least, hopefully not enough to come off as rambling if I can manage that balance.
