When I refer to a local host, I mean self hosting My own Libre Office

Do you think it's possible if I make impress on local host? ...

I preferably want to be able to sync my slideshow document on all my devices.

I was wondering if anyone has discovered a Google Slides alternative web app where I could have, I can create presentations where in a privacy focused manner, something like proton docs.

I just don't feel like using Google Slides even Though it's pretty well known and I might use it. I just don't trust Google if you know what I mean

Quick question? Since Firefox is open source couldn't you in theory modify where the password manager is going. Syncing your passwords from the browser to your local server. Idk, I just thought of that and know that that'll never work or it may be too much work when there's an alternative for that anyways. Just something I thought of from what you were saying about "if Mozilla may kill their servers" which they will imo.

I myself like Gnome's Epiphany browser. Yeah it's not perfect, but at least it works and granted the performance is getting somewhere. Also, I think its based on Apple's Webkit, but I couldn't be more far off.

I was wondering if there was an Open Source OnlyFans Alternative dedicated to Linux and Computer Engineering Related Content. Same Idea but with Unix Porn.

If this would exist, what would you do in its development, How would you improve it and make it profitable?

Just a change and because I don't want to pay a license ( if thats how it works...) for music.

I am currently working on a video game project, It's 3D, and in a particular feature where players can listen to the radio. I want to pull data from Odysee (LBRY) and a specific channel that I want to play in-game.

If I can't pull data from the network, Is there another way for me to access either music or video content without breaking a ToS.

I'm working with python if that helps.I am also new, or semi new to Python.

I was basically wondering if there was a way for me to make youtube rss feeds of channels I watch. I thought youtube blocked this a while back, 2022 or 23.

Also, newpipe is sort of broken for me, but the only thing that works for me is ViMusic, which I have to look at its code to see what is actually happening 😀.

Yeah, since not all videos are shown, someone in this thread shared a repo that allows us to host our own YouTube library, and there’s a jellyfin plugin for it. So I guess the channel not displaying all videos is fine, as for my use cases, I just care for updates and such.

What a great project! Love the idea. I’m going to check it out later as I’m a bit busy.

I was wondering if there was any way I could grab all of the content creator's channel (that I watch) rss feed from YouTube and make it into one html file to host it on my github pages. I can then go to my rss reader, I use YouTube music and AntennaPod. YouTube music for my iPhone and AntennaPod on android as a backup.

Just wondering if this was possible, but also, I remember seeing a reddit post (or stack overflow) not long ago, like a year ago. A user asked about this and youtube shut that down due to, and I'm taking a guess, its because of this may block ads preventing them from making profit.

Do you know any resources on how I could tick off the bootloader?

I'll try the xda developers if that's a good place to start...

The update in 2023 that I heard patched the way I could even install lineage on the S9...

Let’s imagine a hypothetical scenario where an alien spaceship crash-lands at a specific spot where North Dakota and Saskatchewan meet. In this case, would the aliens face any legal consequences, such as fines or imprisonment, for illegally crossing the border? Given that this location is quite remote and sparsely populated, how do you think authorities from both the United States and Canada would handle such an unprecedented situation in terms of jurisdiction and border control?

Just wondering because I do believe that there are other lives out there in this vast universe. Sorry, but the last post I made regarding Streetview, I checked out panoramax.fr, and found it really interesting and fun to use as a FOSS Google Maps Alternative.

I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade my phone to Android 11 (god for bid Android 13/14) on my Samsung S9.

I remember back when I did this, back in 2020 I somehow installed Android 11, it must of been an update Samsung rolled out and I didn't noticed until in December of 2021, I accidentally factory reset, yes, ask me how I managed to do that.

Just wondering if this is possible, as I know its not, and I know that the S9 is EOL.

I was wondering why there isn't or if there is, an Open Source (Free, or not) Street View like Google Maps. I like geography as a hobby, like my other hobbies, and found GeoHub which sparked my interest in being a free geoguessr alternative. I just don't understand why Google is the only Mapping service people go to, is Google the only one that has street view? is this a hard business model to achieve?

Please, I'd love too know :)

Isn't that a windows problem, as Linux macos are unaffected...

I watched this video where they talked about how someone installed Linux on their Google drive. Like, installing everything in Google drive, not finding some Google client. Storing the /* in Drive.

I am currently attempting to do this as well, but with Microsoft OneDrive. I'll update you all on my progress!

When I refer to Linux, I am referring to a computer with the kernel and other software that makes up a Personal Computer.

I like to think that Linux is great, and always will be, a Personal Computer. Windows, I will always remember it being the best thing for business’s as Microsoft pushes licenses and such business related features.

I switched to Linux in 2020, Ubuntu, and slowly learned my ways around, and understanding how everything works, but most people don’t have to now, it’s so simple to get started.

Two Versions… (minecraft.wiki)

I was wondering if anyone knew about, or plays both versions of the game, the 667.9MB (disc) or 1.29GB (server).

I was on the wiki, and saw the screenshot was outdated. It shows the Xbox 360 and the 66.9MB versions, which should be… unless Microsoft will, IMO update the Xbox one edition (1.29GB) to 1.20 later down the years.

I found a Similar logo design to thunder, and was wondering where this is originally from?

I was browsing TikTok, yes, judge me. Haven’t been on in years, and still hate it.

I was thinking of making a Free Open Source Resturant, with free food and drinks made purely out of free software components. I was thinking of licensing this under the GPLv3 for a freedom living experience, and not only that. I was also thinking it all in Rust!!
