I know what he's saying. I'm pointing out what he doesn't realize he's saying. Because he's an idiot.
Same. But also, his reasoning here is basically:
"Having experience with all of the consequences of a given situation does not qualify you to form an opinion on it "
This is a miserable take. Either
- parents were historically solely responsible for everything a child received, including instruction, and thus you are in fact already contracting to do part of a parent's job anyway Or
- raising children was historically a communal responsibility and you are doing what was historically done by the extended community anyway
You have beef with the disparity between the lines for who has responsibility for the child vs who has ultimate authority over the child. And that is fair! But it's a problem with the current structure of the system, and we don't need to harken back to some stupid lie about the good old days to justify the current impasse.
Trump just proposed increasing the defense budget from $900 billion in 2026 to $1.5 trillion in 2027. So, I expect you're correct.
Nothing will change until MAGA Americans have to eat the shit sandwich they've been making.
Unfortunately, many of them will be unable (due to a combination of a lack of education and a steady diet of propaganda) to understand the source of their new rations.
Now try: "Colonel"
As a native speaker, I think it's orders of magnitude worse.
Reminds me of this other terrible dystopian idea I saw the other day: https://nz.news.yahoo.com/elon-musk-announces-plan-control-182840080.html
Glad billionaires think they can steal the sun and sell it back to us now.
Disgusting woman, torn between her daughter having food to eat and the stellar job she thinks Trump is doing rounding up brown people.
Maybe they thought it was like throwing a smoke bomb, and they could ghost while it clears.
I came here to make this comment less cogently. You have it exactly.
Now, does it violate US law and multiple Executive Orders to search the database to get dirt on US Citizens and use it against their election campaign? Yes. Yes it does. But this administration thinks laws are for sissies.
The US has needed rank choice voting since Nixon at least.
