I intend to make a post in a few days with the proposal for new rules for additional feedback and to make sure that the community is on board and that nothing is too vague and such.

Sounds acceptable. I think I'd want to go for 'no captions' and 'no social media screenshots' to let the picture speak for itself with no distractions.

Ideally I'd love no text in the picture at all but we don't have the population for this and It'd kill the community.

For over a year there's been a pinned post requesting someone to take over the community with no one willing to mod. If you actually want to see the change then tell me and I will tranfer the community rights to you. Though I'd recommend to not act retroactively and make a post with new rules moving forward.
