I think option 1 would be better, its not much of a hassle to click on a post and vote it and it's more convenient to have everything in 1 place no matter how many accounts you have

Yeah I understand this is probably more of a zip issue. I've already made a post in the zip support community and I've gotten a new response from another zip admin asking to clarify what the issue is, hope they can sort things out. Thank you for trying to help out here, really appreciate it. Here's some screenshots showing what's going on if it helps (they're both from blorpblorp.xyz and show me trying to use the web ui when on a VPN. I can't log in over a VPN in the first one and in the other content doesn't load over the vpn)

Yes although the page does load, but no content does

Here's what i get when trying to use a vpn on browser (I used blorpblorp.xyz here but blorp.piefed.zip does the same thing). I use Mullvad vpn incase it helps.

Edit: I tested with Voyager's web ui and it had the issue of not being able to login over a vpn, but, it was able to load content once logged in over a vpn just fine. I also tried with the mobile clients Thunder and Interstellar and neither had issues logging in and loading content over a vpn. I'm not sure what's going on but I hope it's possible to solve

Agree with the .zip instances, it's nice to not randomly lose access to communities over instance drama

I did already try asking about this issue in !home@lemmy.zip with a response from the instance admin that there shouldn't be any issues, so I'm going to post here in case this is a blorp issue. I've been unable to log into blorp.piefed.zip or blorpblorp.xyz over a VPN, and when I log in and turn my VPN on again posts and other content do not load. The same issue occurs on the mac app. This doesn't happen with my old instance on blorp, the Blorp android app (weirdly piefed.zip logs in and loads content fine on the app), or piefed ui. I apologize if this is an instance issue and something that can't be sorted out here.

I've tried in the Mac app and I tried clearing cache and it still is having the same issue on vpns

Hello, I was trying to login to b.piefed.zip since I used to use blorp on my old instance before i switched here, but i'm not able to login on my vpn, and if i turn off my vpn, login, then turn it back on, posts won't load. This seems to also be an issue trying to login from blorpblorp.xyz. It doesn't seem like this instance blocks vpns as I was able to login via piefed ui and the Blorp android app over my vpn with no issues and everything is loading just fine. I also apologise if this is the wrong place to post since this looks to be the lemmy.zip discussion place, but i can't find one for piefed.zip.
