In terms of enjoyment, TikTok used to be like a best friend. Now it's like a coworker who works in sales and wants you like them. I've reset my feed settings so many times because TikTok gets so boring.

I have days where my feed turns into constant marketing videos. Like there will be ads but then the videos I get shown are people talking about a specific product or program. They don't directly come out and say they are promoting something. It's like subliminal marketing. I wish I had an example of this. I just know it when I see it.

Why??? I will tell you my non expert opinion.

Reddit makes money by selling data to advertisement companies. Users that aren't logged in are probably hard to track. They probably have a bunch of untargeted data they can't sell for much.

Reddit does not actually care about the end users experience. They want you to use their site enough to provide them with sellable data. It's like Facebook. Facebook could show you your friends posts in chronological order everyday but instead they throw in all this spam on your feed to keep you on the app. They can see what you're interested in. If all you do is 'like' your friends baby pictures then that data would be hard to sell.

This is just for show and will end up going nowhere. If you think this has even a remote chance at changing the minimum wage then I have a bridge to sell you.

We live in a time where democrats do nothing but act appalled, corporations control politics, corporations keep getting bigger, consumer prices increase year after year, healthcare premiums constantly cost more and employee benefits keep getting more expensive every year. What gives you the idea corporations are going to let politicians triple minimum wage? If that happens it will have a ripple effect where higher paying job positions will want a raise because why should someone making an entry level wage be paid the same as a job position with a lot more responsibility?

There is a filter in the bottom of the dishwasher. Its purpose is to collect large particles of food or whatever is being washed so it doesn't clog your drain.

If you're constantly putting really dirty dishes in your dishwasher you should find that filter, twist it out and rinse it off. It's probably full of nastiness. That nastiness is part of your routine dishwasher cycle until you empty the filter. It might be the reason all your glass is cloudy instead of clear and looking new.

To answer the original question though, I wash the dishes and use the dishwasher as a santizer to clean what I've missed.

Good point. There's strings attached to quitting.

the distinguishing factor is whether you’re losing access to “certain individuals or communities” that you cannot access otherwise. When people leave a digital space, they tend to “channel communication through other means. They use texting more. They set up group chats,” according to Hall. And if they don’t (or can’t) find other means to connect with those people, that’s when they tend to feel lonelier offline.>

Seems to me like people get a sense of community with social media and if they can't replace that void when they quit then they are more prone to get lonely.

If you're like me and don't have this luxury because you have an hour long drive home in traffic and your family has been waiting for you.... a therapist once told me to listen to classical music on the way home.

Classical has a bunch of different instruments which is why he specifically mentioned it. If you really can't stand classical then listen to any music you aren't familiar with. I would imagine sitting in my car would work better but we work with what we got.

"Whatever you like" by TI. He lost all credibility with that one.

2 years is wishful thinking. There is enough space in entertainment for AI actors and human actors. That being said, I think AI actors will dominate here.

The average movie watcher is already a fan of a fake image of entertainers whether they are on screen or not. AI isn't replacing your best friend, it's replacing someone you have never met and will probably never see in person anyway. Actors will have to start building deeper connections with their fans if they plan to stick around.

What's crazy is the hacker is trying to sell extremely classified Chinese defense information for only 'hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto'. You can get a preview for 'thousands of dollars'.

Is it worth placing a huge target on yourself for less than a million dollars? It's unfortunate I will never read a follow-up on this story.
