The problem is not artificial intelligence, it's natural dumbness.

That misinformation is amplified by an AI-powered chatbot named "Canadian Civic Advisor".

I'm going to take note of that example. Next time I hear someone says AI chatbots could potentially help fight climate change, I'll be able to show that today they actually aggravate climate change.

The AI lies are one part of that.

The other part is that the data centers powering these AI tools draw massive amounts of power and need massive amounts of water to keep them cool.
