A prince lassos a dragon, saving a knight in shining armor from certain death. But the prince slips and as he falls, the knight and his steed race to return the favor.

Then the two men fall in love.

That story, “Prince and Knight,” is one of five children’s books featuring LGBTQ characters and aimed at kindergarten through the fifth grade that have roiled a diverse suburban Maryland school district and led to a Supreme Court case that the justices will hear on Tuesday.

Parents in Montgomery County who object for religious reasons want to pull their children from elementary school classes that use the books.

Parents in Montgomery County who object for religious reasons want to pull their children from elementary school classes

Well....we're waiting. They're just disrupting everything for everyone else with their bigoted pearl clutching.

The key point is MoCo public schools won't let them skip just that class(which obviously they don't really have the staff to do regularly). It's pretty amusing. Frederick county would revolt if this happened.

Have these fuckwits read the bible? It's chock-full of awful shit I wouldn't want my kid to think about. Objecting for religious reasons is utter bullshit.

A lot of fundamentalist Christians pick and choose which parts of the bible to adhere to, ie: only the portions they agree with.

So...if I were to write and illustrate Lot(?) throwing his daughters to an entire gang of dudes to be used that's cool right? With proper citations and stuff?

The parents argue that public schools cannot force kids to participate in instruction that violates their faith.

This is sickening, it's not a violation of faith to be taught something. What they really are complaining about is that it doesn't comply with their Christian religious indoctrination, so they are afraid their indoctrination will fail.
These parents are literally insane, letting their delusions about a god that doesn't exist, cloud their judgement in ways that are harmful to their children, themselves and society.

These delusions are so harmful it is comparable to a schizophrenic having a psychosis.

Claiming this book is harmful is akin to claiming it is harmful to teach an atheist about Buddhism.

Wholesome story featuring a consensual romance but the two characters just happen to be the same sex?

Nein!

Two nudists frolicking through a garden with a peeping Tom snake, dude butt-fucking his own dad, two daughters having sex with their drunken old dad, patriach creating an entire ethnic group with his half-sister and a side chick to boot, king sends one of his best men to die so he can bang his wife, deity has child with mortal woman and even convinces her husband that it's OK and that child becomes a leader that gets executed?

Ja!
