The problem with sorting by new is that the new posts have no comments yet, so I would feel more pressure to comment. And then people might respond to me, thereby noticing my existence, the horror!

Sorting by new post-federation makes this place feel like a radiation-filled half-dead warzone. I hate it but still do it, partly for the morbid curiosity of other instances shit-talking us and wanting to de-federate.
maybe it's cause I blocked the most annoying comms ([email protected]) but I mainly see posts in small hobby comms and hexbear
