They'll be matching it against government records likely. It's an age verification service.

And now that there is an industry for this service the law will never be able to be removed because "that will kill jobs".

It sure won't satisfy any of the conspiracy theorists. This has been steeping for too long and imaginations have been running wild. Whatever they produce will never live up to the bombshell people are now expecting.

I started my selfhosted journey with a synology nas. But the nas was crap, so I ended using it only as storage and backup solution, providing NFS shares.

So, as a NAS then.

the state is dedicated to “raising a generation of patriots, not activists.”

What a terrifying statement to make.

The state education department announced Wednesday that it is partnering with the conservative media company PragerU to develop a new certification test for teachers relocating to Oklahoma from states with “a history of promoting anti-American narratives.”

I love how liberals think that Trump's antics are a 57d chess game to hide his brilliant "master plan".

Ffs, it's not a distraction, it's the thing.

But “not guilty” is not the same as “innocent,” and dodging legal responsibility is not vindication.

Basically the courts don't matter and all that matters is public opinion? And this is where you launch into a "the courts are corrupt" and "the rich never get punished" or some similar BS?

This is interesting... In the past when Trump has tried to push back on his followers he's followed the TACO principle. Like when he wanted to take credit for the COVID vaccines but his audience was anti-vax he quickly softened his language to "take it... if you want it tho. Maybe it's poison who knows?"

He's never been a leader - he's just been an amalgamation of all of the racism and conspiracy theories his followers have. He says "yes" or "maybe" to everything. I think this is the first time he's really said "no" though?

One of the things that had kept America's economy stable and which invited foreign investment in the dollar had been the independent fed.

Was nice while it lasted. We're in the long slide down now.

Two days after catastrophic floods roared through Central Texas, the Federal Emergency Management Agency did not answer nearly two-thirds of calls to its disaster assistance line, according to documents reviewed by The New York Times.

The lack of responsiveness happened because the agency had fired hundreds of contractors at call centers, according to a person briefed on the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss internal matters.

Our longstanding offering won’t fundamentally change next year, but we are going to introduce a new offering that’s a big shift from anything we’ve done before - short-lived certificates. Specifically, certificates with a lifetime of six days. This is a big upgrade for the security of the TLS ecosystem because it minimizes exposure time during a key compromise event.
