You do not have to give the precise location, something like "Northern Idaho, June 2023" or even "North-Western US, June 2023" suffices.

She? was at a sporting field where many magpies regularly go and was just pecking around the grass and i managed to get about 2-3m away.

Nothing more Australian than being swooped by a maggie

I’ve only ever been swiped by a noisy miner.

Maggie’s are chill with me.

I went to another park a while ago, did something that caused them to start swooping, came back the next day and they were waiting. They're pretty bright and ive heard they'll talk amongst themselves and tell others who the good and bad people are.

Take some food next time. They'll stop swooping you after they end up getting fed :)

Better to feed them during winter, before they decide it’s swooping time.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind for next time. But that time i was flying a drone and they were keen to get the "newcomer" to bugger off.
