Any "serious" politician who primaries Biden would probably win. Its going to be 2016 all over again where the entire party falls in line behind a terrible candidate because of party unity or some horseshit

nah, the party structures are too ossified. 2016 was acrimonious, but it was theoretically an open seat. primarying an incumbent would be open treason, and the whole party would turn against them, even if they privately feel he's the inferior choice. there's no discipline when it comes to policy or setting an agenda, but there is when it's about who gets a handjob and who gets slapped.
