I swear to god can these fucking asinine dorks please go back to Reddit, I get the corpos messed with your precious third-party whatever-the-fuck, but that was four year ago and here's the good news: you can be a racist fascist OVER THERE and Reddit won't ban you! Be with your own kind and leave lemmy to the god-awful tankies
"Our leaders"—yuck!
.world already isn't federated with lemmygrad and Hexbear. What else do they want their Führers to do?
They want us to not exist for some reason
Also why they try so hard to push piefed
They want their Führers to cash in their imaginary influence with the Trump administration to kill us or, at the very least, imprison us
These kind of people tend toward delusional grandiosity, especially when it comes to baby internet forums
The fact that the exodus was triggered by the death of apps is so funny. These people had no issue with reddit aside from how they viewed that move as an attack on their freedoms or something lol.
A privately operated platform is allowed to decide which access methods they want people to leverage, this is always the case... Plenty of platforms lock their APIs behind rules and guidelines, paywalls for access isn't new.
I disagreed with the move just as much as the next lib, but i am not deluded enough to pearl clutch and blame the lemmy communities that are perfectly content with their alternative.
