Right? It's a story about an immigrant super hero written and illustrated by the children of the Jewish diaspora.

Edit: to be clear, it should be obvious that it's not supposed to be the story of a fascist ubermensch.

We've been going through decades of Superman mostly just being a super god beyond the king of ultra-super gods while occasionally pining after a lost kingdom and race that he can't retvrn to, so I think a lot of the original concept is functionally lost in pop culture except on the most superficial level, and that's speaking of the comic books. In the movies, there's much less of the original legacy to start with and things sometimes get changed to make the message or at least the emotional logic of the story wildly more fascist (like Thanos getting a nonsensical eco-fash motivation to be more sympathetic, even if he's still supposed to be very evil).
