For the far-right, "pedophilia" is something the bad guys do, the good guys "save a little girl from poverty in exchange of some favors", or "get seduced by a nasty little nymphet to smear their names". That's why they're using pedophile to mean "LGBTQ+ people" and don't bother about their own, because rules don't apply to the ingroup, only protects them.
