TIL about Pinetime. Seems like a decent replacement for my Pebble.

No always-on display and waterproof rating only to 1m instead of 30m, though ๐Ÿ˜ž.

Nevertheless, quite interesting. Maybe at some point new more capable hardware will arrive.

Amazfit bip have always on screen. You can use it with gadgetbridge in android and forget about the official app

This. I have one for like 10 years, battery life is ~one month per charge, you can set the backlight to go on when the arm is raised, super Gadgetbridge support.
